and obama want to talk about the cooperation they are doing appear to want to be that. we also heard from an aide from moscow saying quite simply the continuation of cooperation will continue. severe obvious efforts for cooperation here on the surface. combined with some strange back chatter we're hearing from you know on the hill et cetera about there not really having been as much information coming from the russians as they would have liked, but looking around we have the russians repeatedly warning the americans well before tsarnaev came on the radar after boston and further information going from the russians to between the mother and sons discussing jihad over the telephone. so there seems to be a chain of information. you don't quite actions of russians in dagestan over the weekend and raid and continuous pass of information feeds together. there certainly seems to be adequate exchange of information right now. wolf the presidents are talking in a cooperative fashion, wolf? >> that's important, they are at least talking about the sensitive suggest. nick

obama and members of congress. i can tell you, alex, i have been talking to our local affiliate in mississippi who says that his home, dutschke's home, was searched by investigators on tuesday and wednesday of this week. so this arrest comes after that. now, of course, if you will recall, this past tuesday prosecutors dropped charges against elvis impersonator paul kevin curtis. they thought he was behind the letters. he declared his innocence along, and so this past tuesday they did drop the charges against him. now, just for some background, alex, this all relates to those ricin-laced letters that were addressed to president obama and to a republican of mississippi, senator roger wicker. those letters were intercepted though. they were intercepted at off-site mail facilities. so to be very clear, they never got close to their intended targets, but given the timing of this, this happened just really a few days after the boston bombing, it certainly added to the heightened anxiety and alert here in the nation's capital. so at this point in time there is another person in custody

forget during the second debate president obama mentioned planned parenthood for times and talked about are lifesaving work. but the interesting thing is that evening his message went beyond talking to dependence and the folks that were falling the back-and-forth of the political campaign. it actually reached millions of ordinary americans because just a few days later there was a woman that showed up at a planned parenthood health center in houston texas. i'm glad all of you are here today. searched on monday and tuesday of this week. during that search, reporters had a chance to talk to him. he said he had nothing to do with those ricin-laced letters that were sent to president obama and to members of congress. he said he was being framed, eventual essentially, by the first person arrested. here is what he had to say. >> i have nothing to do with those letters the person accused of sending those letters, her defense attorney or his defense attorney said -- steered them in my direction because i was probably an easy target. >> reporter: now we do know that dutschke is known to authorities, the mugshot we are showing you, craig is from a prior arrest. if convicted, he faces life in prison. these are very serious charges. white house officials tell me that president obama has been made aware of this arrest. at this point, they are not releasing any other reaction. this all started in the dates after the boston bombing. that is when these ricin-laced letters were intercepted at an offsite mail facility. so they never got close to president obama or to members of congress. obviou
